Firefighters from Malta's Civil Protection Division board the ferry boat MV Calypso as jets of water are sprayed onto the ship from shore during a firefighting exercise in Grand Harbour in Valletta on October 19. The MV Calypso normally operates alongside several other ferries between the Maltese islands of Malta and Gozo, and such is the volume of traffic that an incident on board one of the ferries has been identified as the most likely maritime disaster scenario around the islands.
