A speedboat is intercepted by a Malta Armed Forces patrol boat after getting too close to the US amphibious assault ship USS SAIPAN, as a traditional Maltese boat goes by in Valletta's Grand Harbour on October 28. The ship was in port on a 4 day visit. Extra security measures were taken in light of the attack on USS COLE in early October in Yemen which left 17 American servicemen dead.
