A
meteor streaks over Ghallis Tower on the north coast of Malta in the early hours
of November 19, 2002. The Leonid Meteor shower, visible from Europe and North
America, should have been the biggest shooting star display of the 21st century.
However, the full moon thwarted many star gazers from enjoying the spectacle.
